The Feds Are Fighting for Prediction Markets
This one just broke. The Trump administration filed federal lawsuits against three states this week, arguing that prediction markets should be regulated at the federal level — not shut down by individual states. The CFTC is stepping in to protect platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket from state-level gambling laws trying to block them.
This is a massive signal for the entire prediction market industry. The federal government isn't just tolerating this sector — it's actively going to court to defend it. Polymarket recently hit a single-day volume record of $425 million. Nasdaq is planning to launch its own binary options product. The space is no longer experimental. It's becoming infrastructure.
Prism Market is building at exactly the right time. The regulatory tailwinds, the institutional interest, and the mainstream adoption curve are all pointing in the same direction. We're not early anymore — we're on time.
